#8 | Alterra Coffee Bean Classic

August 18, 2013

The Rock Sports Complex – Franklin, WI

From The Race Director . . .

A burning climb right from the start, dizzying single track, and fast fire roads all in the urban setting of Milwaukee County. The Alterra Mountain Bike Team proudly presents a true mountain bike race. Welcome to the Alterra Coffee Bean Classic.

A challenging five to six-mile lap snakes its way up, down, and around The Rock Sports Complex. Racers of all levels get the chance to experience a little of everything including “Craters Climb,” the “Small Intestine” Single Track, and “Switchback Downhill,”  that will keep you hanging on all the way to the end. This venue puts Friends & Family in perfect position to cheer on their favorite racer(s) all day long. We will once again include the Alpha Trail section; this section adds about another mile of Single and Double Track to the lap length of the course. As most of you know the Alpha Trail makes the race even more exciting!! We’re always trying to add new elements to increase the overall challenge of the Alterra Coffee Bean Classic.

Alterra Coffee Roasters will once again have its coffee bar open to pour the free, locally roasted coffee, whether your preference is hot or cold. Lakefront Brewery will have ice-cold beers on tap.

The Alterra Mountain Bike Team is a Grassroots Team focused on riding hard at every level, leaving every last drop of energy on the trail. But most importantly, we have fun in support of our fellow riders! That mission carries through every element of the Coffee Bean Classic! We ride bikes because of the challenging fun, and that’s exactly what you’ll get on race day!  Visit us at the Alterra Mountain Bike Team Facebook page.

Please note: Any changes to the course and course condition updates, will be posted at Alterra Mountain Bike Team facebook page, and on the WORS message board and facebook page.
