CamRock Park — Rockdale, WI

CORP_logoFrom The Race Director . . .

CamRock_start_13Captital Off-Road Pathfinders has worked for years to build CamRock Park into one of the hidden gems of mountain biking in Wisconsin. CORP is a volunteer organization that builds and maintains the majority of the off-road cycling trails in Dane County. We are working diligently to make the Battle of CamRock a race that you will look forward to every year.

The trail system at CamRock is a blend of wide and fast flowing single-track that runs through open fields of prairie grass, wooded single-track with bermed turns, and more technical single-track with a touch of roots and rocks. The Battle of CamRock course contains some great downhill sections that will have you begging for another lap. From Citizen to Elite, all courses contain fun single-track, numerous feed zones, and finish with a grass double-track climb before sprinting to the finish.

The primary parking location is located just North of the CamRock Area 3. Enter Parking area 4 at the top Highland Drive just past the intersection with Koshkongon Road.
Additional parking is available along Koshkonong Road near the primary parking area or in the CamRock 2 Camping area. We will have a free air conditioned shuttle bus running between all parking areas and the Town of Cambridge.

All riders on mountain bike trails in Dane County Parks are required to carry a valid 2014 Trail Pass. Capitol Off-Road Pathfinders will continue to pay $2 per racer to cover trail fees for all participates during the Saturday and Sunday of the race weekend.

Course Description

A mountain biking journey along the hills of the Koshkonong Creek. The start is a dash to the top, climbing for a half mile through the vendor area followed by lots of fast fun as racers negotiate trail characterized by its varied topography and beautiful landscape. Citizen and Juniors courses are less technical with significantly less climbing. The Sport course takes it up a notch and the Comp/Elite course adds even more technical challenge and climbing.
