CamRock Park — Rockdale, WI

From The Race Director . . .

Captital Off-Road Pathfinders has worked for years to build CamRock Park into one of the hidden gems of mountain biking in Wisconsin. CORP is a volunteer organization that builds and maintains the majority of the off-road cycling trails in Dane County. We are working diligently to make the Battle of CamRock a race that you will look forward to every year.

The trail system at CamRock is a blend of wide and fast flowing single-track that runs through open fields of prairie grass, wooded single-track with bermed turns, and more technical single-track with a touch of roots and rocks. The Battle of CamRock’s course contains some great downhill sections that will have you begging for another lap. The 2013 Course will add 1.5 miles of super fast, wide double track. The course is being revised to break up the passing sections and single track to make the race even more competitive.

From Citizen to Elite, all courses contain fun single-track, numerous feed zones, and finish with a grass double-track climb before sprinting through the EXPO Area to the finish.

The parking area for the Battle at CamRock is a large field just North of the CamRock 3 Parking Lot. This field can hold most of the vehicles for this event. Additional parking is available along Koshkonong Road near the EXPO area or in the CamRock 2 Camping area. We will have a free air conditioned shuttle bus running between all parking areas and CamRock Cafe and Sport in Cambridge.

Update – Elite Course Map available: Here is the preview of the Battle of CamRock Elite Course from Race Director Tom Harron. Shorter course, more passing zones, more extreme fun. The course integrates the crushed gravel trail, a climb up the new Beer Run Trail and includes the technical descent Fun N Done near the Expo Area. Expect Huge crowds over the entire last mile of the course. This file will open in a GPS app or Google Earth. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rxb1jqvfadsd3f6/2012BattleofCamRockCat1Course.kmz

The parking area for the Battle of CamRock presented by the Trek Stores of Madison is at private airfield near Heather’s Rockdale Bar & Grill. This airfield has a large grass runway, which can hold most of the vehicles for this event. Additional parking is available along Koshkonong Road near the EXPO area as well as CamRock 1 and CamRock 2. CORP will be providing a shuttle on race day to transport family and fans between CamRock 1,2,3 and the private airfield. We would like to thank the citizens and businesses of Rockdale as this event could not be held without local support and cooperation.
