Grand Geneva Resort — Lake Geneva, WI

From The Race Director . . .

The TREADHEAD’S are very excited to have TREADFEST as the “Grand” Finale of WORS 2017!  The TREADHEAD’S have worked tirelessly to add features to the course and events to make TREADFEST even better.  Last year’s addition of the Butchback Climb was a great new feature for riders and spectators alike. So what’s new at TREADFEST for 2017?  Say it with me…THE KMC KING OF THE MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE!  The KMC King Challenge will take place on Saturday and features a lung busting climb up and to the top of Top Notch Mountain.  Are you and your legs ready?

TREADFEST offers one of the “toughest” and fun courses on the WORS circuit and features the crowd pleasing Rock Garden, the infamous Colorado Heartbreaker, the serenity of the Pines, the excitement of Butch’s Playground and the fluid fast lines of The Big “O”. TREADFEST has activities for riders and families including: a consumer expo, WORS Learn to Race Clinic, TREADFEST Kids Race, slacklines, tasty food and drink on site, TREADFEST T-shirts, the Next Door Pub Saturday night pasta feed, and all the weekend fun in beautiful Lake Geneva! The Mountain Top at The Grand Geneva Resort is now open all season for mountain bike riding and disc golf. Check out their website for more information.

In addition to TREADFEST, TREADHEAD Cycling (THC) strives to give riders an exciting environment to explore the joys of riding a bike. THC aims to give the TREADHEAD spirit back to the roads and trails through avid bicycle advocacy involvement. The TREADHEAD’s are excited to partner with My Team Triumph and helped to create a chapter in Lake Geneva! (http://myteamtriumph-wi.org/) We welcome all riders to join TREADHEAD Cycling for our mountain and road rides as well as many other TREADHEAD events throughout the year. Please check www.treadheadcycling.com for details, our list of sponsors and our ride calendar. All are welcome!

Treadfest_startCourse Description

It’s simple. The TREADFEST course was built by racers for racers. The course brings out the best of the Mountain Top topography as it shifts from tight, technical single track to wide open big ring double-track. The thigh burning climbs are rewarded with fast and fun descents. Hear the roar of the crowd as you finish in front of the spectator friendly Mountain Top Lodge. Enjoy!
