Heart pumping?

  Adrenaline flowing?  Check.  Muscles twitching?  Check.  Game face?  Check.  Welcome back to TREADFEST….we’ve missed you!  TREADFEST VII showcases an evolving trail system at the beautiful Grand Geneva Resort.  TREADHEADS have been busy building, tweaking and improving a trail with a variety of terrain and technical features for all level of riders.  Features include the infamous Rock Garden, The Colorado Heartbreaker, The Pines, Butch’s Playground the The Big “O”.  For family and friends not racing the Mountain Top Lodge offers great views of the trail system.

If you are not on two wheels TREADFEST offers plenty.  TREADFEST features a consumer expo and activities including:  TREADHEAD Learn to Race Clinic, TREADHEAD kids race, Next Door Pub pasta feed Saturday Night, food and drink on race site, TREADFEST T-shirts, and don’t forget an on site massage.

In addition to TREADFEST, TREADHEAD Cycling strives to give riders a diverse exciting environment to explore the joys of riding a bike.  We aim to give the TREADHEAD spirit back to the roads and trails through avid bicycle advocacy involvement.  We welcome all riders to join TREADHEAD Cycling for our mountain and road rides as well as many other TREADHEAD events through out the year.  Please check www.treadheadcycling.com for details.

Course Description

Designed and built by racers for racers, this course brings out the best of Mountain Top at Grand Geneva as it shifts from tight, technical and singletrack to wide-open big ring double-track. Knee burning climbs are rewarded with fast and fun descents. Hear the roar of the crowd as you finish in front of spectator-friendly Mountain Top Lodge.

Registration

Register: Online through September 2nd or by mail. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by August 31, 2013.

Late Registration (On Site): Saturday 3-6 pm, Sunday 8:00 am until 1/2 hour before the start of your race.

Juniors not accompanied at the race venue by their parent must present a signed form at registration.

Amenities & Additional Information

  • Pre-ride: Saturday 12-7pm.
  • Learn to Race Clinic with Team WORS – Saturday 3:30-5 pm. Free to registered racers, the clinic includes instruction in off-road riding skills, race preparation and a ride-through of the Citizen race course.  Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult rider.
  • Spaghetti feed Saturday Night at Next Door Pub.
  • Treadhead Trail Run – Trail Run, Sunday 8:30am start, * choice of a 5 or 10K distance.  http://www.wors.org/trail-runs/New_logo
  • On site massage by Healing Body & Soul.
  • On site food/beverage sales provided by Grand Geneva Resort.

How To Get There

From Chicago & Vicinity:
Take I-94 north to Highway 50 Kenosha/Lake Geneva west. Proceed west approximately 23.7 miles. Grand Geneva Resort will be on your right.

From Madison:
Take I-90 south to Beloit and Janesville, then take Delavan exit Highway 11 just south of Janesville. In Delavan, change to Highway 50 and proceed through Lake Geneva heading east. Grand Geneva Resort will be on your left.

From Milwaukee:
Take 894 and I-43 south and exit at Highway 12/Lake Geneva exit at Elkhorn. Follow Highway 12 to Highway 50 East/Lake Geneva, the second exit. Take off ramp, continue East under the overpass. Grand Geneva Resort will be on your left.
