Check back later here...what follows is the 2020 event verbiage
Working with USA Cycling, Brown County Parks and Brown County Health Department, we have a format with a bit of the head to head racing we all enjoy along with the separation and safety we need to have in place for an event. You can expect a course like what we've used for Stump Farm in the fall with 10 miles or more per lap.
REGISTRATION
We are registering online only. We have a field limit in Citizen and Sport categories. Registration for the race is at https://www.bikereg.com/refo-ramble and opens August 1. Registration closes August 14 at 6 pm.
If you do not have an annual USA Cycling license, you can purchase a $5 one day license at online race registration. If you plan to race on an annual license, enter your license number when you register and show your license at registration. This year only, you can pay us your one day trail pass fee during registration if you don't have an annual pass and want to get a race day pass in a one stop shop.
Your registration is final. No refunds for any reason. No race day registration.
Start lists will be posted starting at noon on Friday, August 14, at http://www.performancetiming.com/
We will make waves of 10, grouped by gender and age group within a category, with 5 minutes between starts to load. If you register after 12 noon on Friday, you will be placed in an added wave published the evening of August 14.
MASKING REQUIRED for plate pick up, start queues, start box and award pick up.
You will not get a race plate unless you mask up. You cannot start unless you mask in the start line queue and in your start box. Masks are not required on course. Masks will be required to pick up your award!
AWARDS and RESULTS
Each age group and gender will get medals similar to what we rolled out at the Stump Farm last year. Awards are available at the booth where you got your race plate. Mask required for award pick up!
Results will be posted on http://www.performancetiming.com/
RACING
Brown County requires a trail pass to race. They may check riders. The pass supports the trails. The County has been a pretty solid partner in trail work and community interface. Bring exact change ($5) or buy a pass online on day of race.
You will notice the race order is fastest first following USA Cycling's COVID-19 plan. The race order is Comp Elite, then Sport, then Citizen and younger juniors.
The course will ride opposite normal direction in places and course marking crew will have the course open Saturday morning for your racing pleasure!
Riding at the camp is fast and exhilarating, the course uses a both the flowy single track and frequently interspersed two track where you have to put the hammer down. Expect to ride on hard dirt, roots, ride some sand with a visit to a bog or two. The course is a great mix of the Camp’s 1550 acres of trails and woods. We are using a longer course and fewer laps to keep racer density low.
CONVENIENCES
To lower the risk of COVID-19 spread, we will have limited conveniences. We will have no indoor spaces available. We'll have a half dozen Porta Jons, multiple hand sanitizing stations and access to the Lodge hose. No food will be available for sale. The Park is carry in carry out for any trash, so bring a garbage bag and pack up your waste!
We will have course marshals every couple of miles but no water stops/cup hand ups. You can set up canopies/tents in the woods along the lap road, close to the start area.
So please bring your own water, drinks and food. Stay safe even when you aren't required to mask using distance and masking. By race time local rules may change and we will keep our facebook event/page up to date as best we can.
No Dogs (pets) Allowed. Proximity to the NEW Zoo prohibits pets.

**Wave starts are in women-only waves and men-only waves and you will start with your age group. There may be some merging of age groups to make full waves of 10. Your wave assignment will be random after the gender and age group sort. Entries after 12 noon on Friday will be randomly placed in waves at the end of the category.
***Ordinarily there is no one day license option for Pro & Cat 1 entrants. We have partnered with USA Cycling to allow Cat 1 riders to race on a one-day license during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a one-time option.
****Start lists with your exact start time will be posted at http://www.performancetiming.com/ twice. First in the afternoon of the 14th so you can plan your day. Second in the evening for later registrants.
