LaVesser and House Defeated the Harsh Heat to Win at Mt. Morris

  Mt. Morris- Last Sunday the Wisconsin Off-Road Series made its fourth stop of the season at Mt. Morris for the Mt. Morris Challenge. The course snakes up and down the ski hill traversing across ski runs while climbing and descending technical and tricky switchbacks. Mother Nature added another layer of difficulty with the scorching heat reaching far into the 90s.

Schneeberger and Karinen Take Home Big Checks at Battle of Camrock

Rockdale, WI- Last weekend the Wisconsin Off-Road Series(WORS) headed south to Rockdale WI for WORS #3, the Battle of Camrock. Capital Off-Road Pathfinders(CORPS), Loft and Shove, and Team WORS all banded together to design a fun and family friendly weekend for all. Food trucks, bouncy houses, and of course a hilly and technical race course made this year’s Battle of Camrock the best to date!   The BelGioioso Pro/Cat 1 men’s race had racers out of the saddle early for an extensive climb to the top of CamRock Park where the men then funneled into the first section of singletrack.

2018_schedule_pix Year twenty-seven of WORS will again consist of a ten race schedule. America's largest state mountain bike series opens up in Iola on May 6th followed by a return to Englewood Farm. June features the very popular Battle of CamRock, the Mount Morris Challenge and the Red Flint Firecracker.

OverallRaffleThree hundred WORS racers, family and friends congregated at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point on Saturday October 14th to celebrate the completion of the twenty-sixth year of WORS.   WORS annual Awards Banquet included a great buffet style meal, the presentation of WORS overall awards, WORS Overall Raffle, and our infamous banquet raffle.

The Wisconsin-Off Road Series made it’s 8th stop on the tour in the bluffs of La Crosse where racers searched for crucial series points and a good time! Despite the recent flooding in the western part of the Badgerland, the race course held up fairly well. Some adjustments were made in the lower lands but nevertheless the volunteers and the WORS staff made sure the course held up to its name. The Hixon Forest Epic flowed up and down the bluffs while snaking through the forest challenging every racer to his or her maximum capabilities.

Lavesser and Karinen Win WORS Cup Regional Championships

Last weekend, the Wisconsin Off-Road Series held the Mid-Westerns most premier mountain bike race, WORS Cup, at the Alpine Valley Ski Resort. Racers competed in a cross country race, short track event, and an enduro race all striving to be the regional champion. Alpine Valley mountain bike trails snake up and down ski runs while weaving through the woods on fast single track with tight corners.

Eau Claire,WI   The thirteenth year of the Red Flint Firecracker was the coldest to date, with temperatures hovering just about 50 degrees and mother nature made sure to throw in some rain too! Despite the weather, WORS alongside CORBA made it a weekend to remember with a pre-race spaghetti feed, endless s’mores and of course the infamous Firecracker socks!
