Schneeberger and Swartz Rise to the Top in La Crosse

The Wisconsin Off-Road Series made its eighth stop of the season on the Western slope of Wisconsin in the beautiful bluffs of La Crosse last Sunday. The Hixon Forest Epic winds up and down the bluffs with beautiful views through fast singletrack. Early morning rain brought on a hot and beautiful day for the third annual Hixon Forest Epic. Multiple Titles Awarded at the WORS Cup

The Wisconsin Off-Road Series kicked off the second half of the season with USA Cycling’s Midwest Regional MTB Championships, WORS Cup at Alpine Valley Ski Resort in Elkhorn, WI. This is the second year WORS has used Alpine Valley for a race venue as it’s southern location brings in racers from all over the midwest. The course seems to have a little bit for everyone; fast descents, long climbs and a singletrack haven that attracts racers of all abilities.   The Pro/Cat 1 Women’s field once again saw large numbers.

Guerra and Schneeberger Take Top Steps Once Again

The Colectivo Coffee Bean Classic located just outside of Milwaukee in Waukesha WI was put on with the help of the Colectivo Coffee Mountain Bike Team, Waukesha Bicycle Alliance and Waukesha County Parks. Minooka Park has a 6 mile loop with a mix of challenging tight singletrack and wide open stretches to push racers to their limits. For the BelGioioso Men’s Elite field, it was Ben Senkerik(Team Extreme) with the hole shot.

House and Kriete Win WORS Opener

WORS presented by Trek began its 25th season in Iola, WI on Sunday, May 15th. The 2016 season opener, titled “The Iola Bump & Jump”, brought together old friends that the grim winter separated. Racers came into the WORS opener not knowing what to expect. It can give racers the satisfaction that their off season training paid off, or leave racers wishing they rode more through the winter months. Despite their readiness, WORS racers were eager to visit the pain cave.

Guerra Takes the Win While Dendel Remains Undefeated

Guerra Takes First Win for 2014 WORS Season   Report by Todd Nutter The Wisconsin Off Road Series (WORS), sponsored by Trek Bicycles, has maintained its popularity in the cross country mountain biking scene for over two decades. One of the credits to its longevity is its ability to stay fresh by changing courses from year to year, adding more variety for racers. The “Red Eye Rendezvous” in Wausau, WI. exemplified this concept once again this year by offering new and different changes to the race to keep riders on their toes.
